High Field Neuroimaging of Epilepsy
PI: Kenneth Laxer*

Spine Echo Pulse

This Collaborative Project on epilepsy seizure focus localization uses arterial spin labeled perfusion imaging and 3D MRSI, which are coregistered to the high resolution structural imaging. Taken together, these sequences are lengthy, especially the 3D MRSI. Therefore, there has been much discussion and interaction between Dr. Laxer and Center for Imaging of Neurodegenerative Diseases scientists concerning methods to shorten scan time without sacrificing spatial resolution.

Specifically, Dr. Laxer will be collaborating and interacting with Dr. Schuff's dynamic ASL Perfusion project, Dr. Feinberg's ALS perfusion project, Dr. Raj's reconstruction project on accelerated acquisition, Drs. Liang and Kornak's reconstruction projects on non-Fourier perfusion and MRSI reconstruction, and Dr. Ebel's project concerning 3D MRSI.
